Quad seal is a Four Seals in One Solution for fire door assemblies from Astroflame.

• an intumescent fire seal
• a smoke seal
• an acoustic seal
• a thermal seal

This has been achieved by combining an Astroflame intumescent graphite based fire seal with a Schlegel Aquamac smoke, acoustic & thermal seal within a PVC sleeve. The assembly has then been independently tested and certified in accordance with the required standards.

Quad seal is the only product on the market to offer four solutions in a single seal, FIRE & SMOKE to meet Approved Document B combined together with a low friction ACOUSTIC & THERMAL seal to satisfy Document E and Document M

Quad seal provides a permanent barrier for fire protection, smoke containment, acoustic damping, and thermal applications.

For passive fire protection purposes a seal fitted into a rebate to either the door leaves or frame will, in the event of a fire, expand (intumesce) to many times its original volume and seal the gap around the door to provide a safe and effective barrier against the passage of fire, smoke and hot gases.

Easy fitting Quad seal uses a self adhesive backing tape and to blend with existing decor is available in a choice of colours.

Each fire door will have its own test evidence from the door manufacturer. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that the seals are fully compliant with the relevant test evidence.
